Health Screenings
The Health Department
offers a number of health screenings on a regular basis. Our Public Health
Nurses go to the various Senior Centers in town every month in order to give
diabetes, pulse and blood pressure checks. We also have a monthly blood
pressure screening at the Health Department every third Tuesday of the month
from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. A diabetes check of your fasting blood sugar is
also offered every first Thursday of the month but by appointment so please
call 937-3660 to schedule that with one of our nurses. Occasional
cholesterol testing (Total and HDL), is also available whenever we develop
enough people on our list who are interested.
